In 1998, a database consultant in Mass. decided to set up a money tracking system. The idea was simple, write a note on paper currency that refers back to a website, log in where the bill is now and watch where it goes. That was almost a decade ago. Where’s George now has 115 million bills being tracked worth about $635 million dollars. There isn’t too much to the site other than watching your bill get tracked, but I think that is some of the fun to it. I have 15 bill tracking and only one has gotten a hit and that was over a year ago. You can track any denomination, they even have a stamper at their store so all you have to do is stamp each bill.
